The Man

Who Came to Dinner

by

George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart

November 21 through January 16

Fridays & Saturdays at 8pm; Sundays at 2pm

This "wild, wacky and wonderful" 1930's screwball comedy makes for "a real old-fashioned Christmas."

Portly Sheridan Whiteside, critic, lecturer, wit, radio orator, intimate friend of the great and near-great, has found his celebrated wit no weapon with which to combat a fractured hip. Whiteside, trekking across the country on one of his annual lecture tours, met his Waterloo in the shape of a small piece of ice on the doorstep of the Gunder Mansion. Result: an invasion of the Algonquin Round Table upon Chicago's north lakeshore.

"...this George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart comedy from 1939 remains fresh and as funny as ever..."  -Arthur Lazere

Telephone (773) 764-0353 for reservations, (please indicate if parking is needed).
